Something optimistic for once

I wrote this three months ago and have no idea why it didn’t end up getting published. Anyway.

I was just looking back on some of my oldest posts (from way back on Blogger) and then some of my recent posts, and I realized just how much my depression has slowly consumed my life over the past 5 years.

While several things in my life are less than ideal; frustrating, confusing, what have you; there are a couple good things going on and I’m going to take a moment to remind myself that positivity exists. Continue reading “Something optimistic for once”

A Year of (re)Invention Update 1

Hey all! It’s been a while since I posted because I just haven’t felt particularly motivated to write, thanks to depression and having other things going on in life. But I wanted to update on some of the things I’ve done to check off on that list I made.

I’ve written in the past about not really liking New Year’s Resolutions for various reasons, so this was a list I made in August with the intention of it lasting until next August, when I ostensibly plan to move somewhere far away from Kansas. But now it’s almost the new year and I wanted to update on it.

I dyed my hair some neon color! It’s been blue for a couple months now and here’s what it looks like today: Continue reading “A Year of (re)Invention Update 1”

More Awesomeness

Yesterday was amazing! It was earlier today for me, but time-wise it was yesterday, so we’ll go with that.

I woke up at 3pm, which sort of doesn’t count because it was 4pm according to my internal clock, but whatever. I spent a bit of time watching Torchwood with Chris and then did jewelry for a couple hours. It’s looking like I’ll have at least ten of these Godless necklaces done by the time Skepticon comes around.

And now we’re done with that. Continue reading “More Awesomeness”

Tauren vs. Troll

Lately, I’ve been doubting my decision however many months ago to make my druid a Troll.

Racially, I think Taurens are more beneficial. War Stomp has such a quick cast time that it’s virtually impossible to interrupt, unlike Cyclone. I wouldn’t need the Herbalism boost, since I have Enchanting and Alchemy. The added stamina would probably be helpful.

I rarely use the Troll Berserk. Usually I pop it and Tree Form to Wrath spam someone to death when we’ve killed their partner. I’ve been meaning to macro it to something, but haven’t, so it’s useless. (Now I will, when I next think of it.) The reduced stun duration is probably more beneficial than I give credit for. I just found out that we have increased health regeneration, and I had forgotten about Beast Slaying because I don’t use it.

That War Stomp is what I get stuck on. It seems to outweigh all the Troll benefits in my mind. X.x Continue reading “Tauren vs. Troll”

Yesterday I got my Paladin, Winnerface, to level 85. During the leveling process she was Holy spec, and at 80 I bought dual spec and made her Protection. Jewelcrafting is currently at level 490 and mining is maxed out.

I’m still relatively unsure of what to do with this toon now that she’s at max level. (That’s three 85s, by the way.) I think I’m going to be PvP Holy and PvE Prot. I would really enjoy a PvP Prot also, but I’m quite good at healing, even if I dislike it to a certain extent.

Rhyvin is now fully decked out in Vicious Gladiator’s gear, with Ruthless chest, cloak, and bracers. I haven’t really made a solid attempt to gear my Priest, Ryven, but I would like to at some point. It would be fantastic to have three fully-geared 85s, especially three healers with DPS offspecs and a tank. I would literally be able to do anything at that point. XD

Archaeology is a pain, but I want that Vial of the Sands recipe so badly. It gives me a reason to save up my gold. (I have 8449 across all my toons as I look at Titan Panel.) I usually spend it or give it to Degon almost immediately after acquiring it. The most I’ve had is 5k, and it goes to Flying training pretty much every time.

Alright, I’m off to do Molten Front dailies and the profession discoveries/dailies.

Ambassador Rhyvin!

I’m excited to say that I finally got to Exalted status with all six Horde races this weekend! I’m a huge fan of the Ambassador title, even if it is pretty easy to get. Not so easy when you don’t typically PVE.

My druid is almost in a full set of healing Vicious gear. I hope to get into some arenas with Degon before too long. This weekend we’ve been doing regular and Heroic five-mans, with his druid Branches tanking and me switching between heals and DPS. I have the Stormrider’s Robes and will continue accruing a PVE healing gear set.

Now, I’m farming Kalimdor’s archaeology sites in the hopes of getting the Vial of the Sands recipe before stopping for the night.
